šš„š² Just wrapped up my talk on Tuesday at @AgileByExample, and Iām thrilled to share my slide deck with you all!
As leaders in tech, weāre shaping more than just code ā weāre shaping the future. And with Gen Z and Millennials redefining what purpose-driven work looks like, thereās no better time to put humanity back into tech.
In the talk, I dug into a belief close to my heart: All engineers are artists. šØš»š Just like an artist uses a canvas to express vision and emotion, engineers use technology to bring their creativity to life. Itās not just what we build; itās why we build it that counts. And thatās where Agile comes in ā not as a rigid process but as a path for creativity, connection, and purpose.
Agile is so much more than checklists and events. Itās about unleashing the power of our teams through every sprint planning, standup, and retrospective to create work that genuinely matters to our users and society. šŖšæ
But hereās the urgency ā Gen Z and Millennials are demanding more. They want tech that aligns with holistic well-being, human-centric values, and social impact. If we donāt adapt now, we risk a future weāve seen all too often in sci-fi ā a graveyard of broken tech and soulless AI, robots tirelessly keeping the systems running in a world disconnected from humanity and creativity. š¦¾š¤ A world full of old, ticking tech and abandoned systems, still churning away but devoid of any real purpose or joy.
ā¤ļøāš„ Letās stop shielding our engineers from the business value and instead empower them to see the true impact of their work. That's where the real magic happens. Thatās how we create tech with heart.
šš Check out my slides and share your thoughts ā letās start a movement to bring humanity back into tech, together!
