Yesterday,
I attended #DevOops 3 hosted by Fiberplane where tales of tech challenges were shared, not to regret mistakes but to celebrate the courage of trying and the lessons learned.
This cultural mindset isn’t just a leadership thing for me, but how I raise my family!
💚 I brought my 10-year-old daughter, reinforcing a lesson close to my heart:
It's okay to fail; I'm proud when you try.
The song "Such a Loser" by Garfunkel and Oates resonates deeply:
"You're a loser but a dreamer... Trying is hard, that's why people don't do it. Losing is hard, they can't make it through it. But not you, you are such a loser. Here's to you, 'cause you deserve a cheering section too."
“You can only fall that far cause you set yourself up so high… Who really cares that this time it didn't fly… At least you try, at least you tried… At least you're not that guy watching from the side … Who thinks he's doing better cause he wasn't defeated… When he's just a nonentity who never competed… You're the one who's out there reaching for something greater… And you know it's better to be a loser than a spectator”
🐲 In both tech and life,
the bravest act isn't always succeeding,
but daring to try.
❤️🔥 So here's to all the 'losers' out there -
the dreamers,
the doers,
the ones who dare.
💚 Let's cherish every attempt,
every stumble,
every fall,
for in them lie our most profound lessons.
Do you have an 'Oops' or an 'Aha!' moment in tech, or a quirky incident?
Share with us!
Let's celebrate the journey, not just the destination!
