The Synergy of Managing and Training Leaders

I’m often asked what I enjoy most about being a manager and training leaders. The answer lies in the unique synergy between these two roles and how they complement and enhance each other.

As a manager, I thrive on the daily interactions with my team, guiding them through challenges, and celebrating their successes. Seeing team members grow, take on new responsibilities, and achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding. It’s about building trust, fostering a collaborative environment, and empowering each individual to reach their full potential. This role constantly challenges me to improve my leadership skills, think strategically, and stay adaptable in an ever-changing environment.

Training leaders, on the other hand, allows me to share my experiences and insights with emerging talents. I find immense satisfaction in mentoring and coaching individuals who are eager to develop their leadership skills. This role gives me the opportunity to delve into various leadership and psychological theories, explore innovative strategies, and stay updated with the latest trends in leadership development. It’s about inspiring others to see their potential, equipping them with the tools they need, and watching them transform into confident, effective leaders - no matter their role!

❤️‍🔥💚🔥🔥🔥🔥🐉

Imagine a powerful and wise dragon guiding younger dragons through the skies, teaching them to harness their inner fire and soar to new heights. As a manager, I am like that dragon, offering guidance, wisdom, and support to my team. When training leaders, I step into the role of a mentor, sharing the secrets of flight and fire, helping emerging leaders discover their own strengths and navigate their paths.

What’s truly powerful is how these roles feed into each other. Managing a team keeps me grounded in the practical, day-to-day realities of leadership, which enriches the training I provide. I can offer real-world examples, relatable anecdotes, and practical solutions that resonate with aspiring leaders. Conversely, training leaders keeps my skills sharp and my perspective fresh, which I bring back to my management role. The continuous learning and reflection involved in training make me a better, more thoughtful manager.

Together, these roles create a dynamic interplay that not only benefits me but also the individuals I work with. Managing and training leaders are more than just professional responsibilities; they are my passions. They allow me to make a meaningful impact, drive positive change, and contribute to a culture of growth and excellence.

💚 I’m excited to continue this journey, to learn, grow, and inspire others along the way.

Ps. Here is a picture of me yesterday with new Albert Heijn techi on-boarders and another picture of talented consultants I was training last week via Avagasso Coaching :-)
