Just back from the remarkable Women in Agile Europe 2023 conference, and I'm brimming with ideas, insights, and an unanticipated amount of energy!
šŖšæ By the way, this conference is for all genders, but the stage is reserved for women and non-binary speakers only to support the bringing of balance to future worldwide conferences gender-wise.
ā¤ļøāš„ The day kicked off with something I absolutely loved ā blinging our badges!
It was a brilliant way to foster connections in a subtle yet impactful manner.
As an introvert and someone who is neurodiverse, large gatherings can sometimes feel overwhelming.
š But this conference was different.
The thoughtful scheduling, with 30-minute breaks between talks, allowing for a comfortable pace, ensuring I never felt 'overprickled.' I could network or sit by myself and restore.
Think: I saw across the day only a few talks, and I was deeply impacted by what I saw as I had so many to choose from; I could šÆ enjoy my day.
š I even had enough energy left for a delightful dinner with some of the speakers ā a rarity for me!
Over the next few days, I will be sharing a series of posts covering the key learnings and insights from the conference.
Expect a carousel of posts, each focusing on a different topic:
š„ Bring Humanity Back to the Workplace ā by Gitte Klitgaard
š An Agile Leader's Journey Across the (Diversity) Chasm ā by Akemi Micallef and Rachelle Harvey
š Bridging the Generational Chasm in an Agile Work Environment ā by Willemijn Dijk
š Perceptions and Realities on Crossing the Chasms ā by Jutta Eckstein
šŖ½ Dare to Be Different: Innovative Leadership and Intrinsic Motivation Strategies ā by Ashvini Bisesser and Karelia Martinez Zambrana
Each session was a gateway to many ideas and strategies, and I can't wait to share these gems with you.
Which session piques your curiosity the most?
